猫を飼い始めてから、猫の行動や高音で繊細な鳴き声に魅了され、今年はたまたま猫をテーマとしトランペットとエレクトロニクス、チェロとエレクトロニクスのための２作品を書き上げた。そしてコロナ禍で自宅にいる時間が長くなるにつれて更に猫との距離が縮まり、イェイツの詩を読んでいてリズミカルな言葉のダンスのような英語の詩、『猫と月』に出会った。また、この詩を読んでいると森川栄子さんの声が脳裡に浮かんできたことも決定理由である。（ニンフェアール・プログラムノートから）

猫は、あちこち歩きまわり

月は独楽（こま）のようにくるくる回る

そして、猫は月とは親密な仲

忍び足で猫は、空を見上げた。

月を見つめた黒猫ミナルーシュ、

彷徨って鳴いたのは、

空の冷たく澄んだ光が

黒猫の獣の血を騒がせたから。

優美な足で

草はらを駆けていくミナルーシュ。

踊りませんか、ミナルーシュ、踊りませんか？

親密な同士が会えば

一緒にダンスですよね？

優雅なダンスをし飽きた月が

新しいダンスのターンを

習いたがるかも。

草はらを忍び足でゆくミナルーシュ

月光を浴びたところを縫って
